How a labor brief actually runs

The industry shapes part of the workflow, but most of it is the same. Whether the role is a journeyman welder on a Gulf-coast turnaround or a forklift operator in a Midwest DC, we follow the same partnership-led process so nothing slips.

1. Industry-specific brief

If it is a structural-demo crew, we know what hazmat-aware tickets and confined-space training matter. If it is a CNC operator role, we know what machine families and shift premiums attract the right talent. We will not waste your call asking the basics.

2. Wage-rate calibration against the trade

Every shortlist is calibrated against current US wage data plus what we are seeing live across the desk this month. Per-diem, prevailing-wage projects, double-time premiums and night-shift adjustments all change the number. If the rate looks low for the trade, we tell you before we start.

3. Vetted, ranked shortlist

Three to five candidates per brief. OSHA, MSHA, NCCER, equipment-operator tickets, references and right-to-work confirmed before introduction. Each ranked against the brief with a short written note rather than just sent.

4. Offer and start support

We coordinate the offer, manage counter-offer pressure, line up the start date and any pre-employment checks, and check in at week 2, 6 and 12. Site-readiness on day one matters more than anything that happens after.

Searches we deliberately do not run

Senior corporate executive search above $250k base, healthcare clinical, legal partner search, and pure white-collar tech leadership sit best with sector specialists. We will tell you within one call if a brief is not a fit so you can place it where it lands fastest.
